Founded in Bremen, Germany, on September 15, 1866 by Mr. Carl Prior,
in the beginning years the company specialized on the logistics of wool and textiles for import and export shipments, storage, sampling, checking, certification and more. The company also acted as a ‘confirming house’ on behalf of Far Eastern buyers, as trustees in their international trading transactions. The company grew to become one of Germany’s leading privately held all-round international freight forwarding organizations of the 20th century.
